I'm unsure if I should just install the cam just like it is. Is it possible to resurface the cam lobes or should I junk the cam and buy a new ? The surface is not rough to the touch but fairly smooth. The lifters show some signs of pitting.
Camshaft 1
Camshaft 2 Camshaft 3
Lifters

An automotive machine shop should be able to resurface (grind and polish) the cam and keep the same profile and lift. The lifters need the same treatment and may need to be re-coated. The company Amboman mentioned in your other thread should be able to take care of you.

Thank you.

Send both to Delta Camshaft in Tacoma, WA. They do a great job at a very reasonable cost.
I have decided to send the old lifters and cam to Delta camshaft to be refurbished. After looking at the old lifters and the new ones I like how the end of the push rods sit in the bottom of the old lifters, but what do I know ?

I wanted to share a picture of my 850 t camshaft that I recently had Delta camshaft do for me. I'm pleased with the results and wanted to thank Charlie for recommending them to me. You can see the difference before in the picture above and the after in the picture below and you can't beat the cost, very reasonable to say the least !
I have not been able to do any work on the engine due to injuries I suffered to my right hand a few weeks ago. I'm just now healed up to where I can resume work on my T.
Cam and lifters

I'll be sending a cam and lifters to them again as well. I too am recovering from injuries to my right hand (among other things) due to a left turning driver.

Sorry to hear you got hit but very happy you are still among us and recovering! Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery.

Take care Charlie. A few years back I was hit on my Honda NX 250 when a pickup pulled out from a side road. I could see this was about to happen and just hit the gas at the right time or I would have been t boned on my side. He hit the back wheel and knock me sideways. The impact shot me up over a curb and into a yard. I like to think all the years riding dirt bikes has made me a better street rider.
