Installed this little OEM guard a week ago or so, to keep the precious CARC unit a bit safer. got it right here from @GT-Rx® , remember he can get all kinds of stuff not listed on the site too! hilariously, something went wrong with the shipping - tho the address was completely correct - and the package ended up taking a left turn and landed in Japan! watching that tracking info was pretty confusing.

I had some strange issues with the install - the bend is a bit off, so it actually contacted the swing arm initially. I spaced it out with some washers, but not an ideal solution really. I'll come up with a way to bend it out a bit eventually, while maintaining the hole positions and keeping the tabs flat. I'd expect this from maybe Hepco-Becker, but from Guzzi?

also one of the washers it came with was the wrong size! 6mm instead of 8mm.

looks great to my eyes once installed tho - 'rugged'.

That guard not only looks fine, but I can assure you that it worked on my Griso when "I laid her down" ;) a few years ago.

Not only did it save my CARC, but it is also still doing service as the slide just gave it some "chicks dig scars" campaign ribbons that a rattle can almost made invisible.

great! well not that you came off...

oh no! I do have those, and even use them occasionally.

I'm thinking you did not see mine next above. Either Brian's experience is a one-off ... or mine is.

The CARC guard worked fine on my Norge, and I always have the panniers on it.

When I bought the Griso, I swapped the guard from my Norge -- as the panniers seem to offer enough protection -- and put it on the Griso.

If I rode the Norge without side bags, I'd likely get another guard.

oh... yea your reply didn't seem to be there for me when I wrote that.

well, easy enough to check, I'll put down my airbox for a few moments and see tonight.

thanks guys!

update: seems fine! I didn't have another set of eyes on hand, but I rode it like this with quite a heavy load for a multi day trip up the sunshine coast - lovely by the way - and can see no evidence of fouling.
