I took a ride into enemy territory (Lancashire) today and came across this at the side of the road near the town of Leyland where they were built.

You can't coax me to enter the pun game. :giggle:

Sorry. A tanker joke involving MG's (and not of the Guzzi sort).

P.S. My father was at Kasserine in an M3 Lee; I followed in his tracks for a short time as an armor guy in M60A1's.

Tanks! OMG. Everybody knows there are only 2 kinds of real military equipment in the world. Submarines, and targets. ;)

Nice photo and stories though gents! I never would have pegged Bill as a tanker!

I never said I was a good one.

In fact, maybe I was trying to be a submariner! :giggle:

Did another of my runs up to Erie recently. It's only 300 miles, but they are fine ones, e.g., this, along Tionesta Creek on Pennsylvania SR 666 ...

But, it's not all twisting rock & roll roads in the countryside.

As proof and apropos to this thread, came across this in Meyersburg, Pa.

That "antique" in front of the American Legion post was state-of-the-(U.S.)art when I sank mine in 1971. I guess they recovered it. :giggle:

I absolutely LOVE your Hotdog V11 Bill.

Makes me so nostalgic for my first V11EV, the 2-tone red and white, 1998. Had that and a 1998 V10 Centauro, both brand new off the showroom floor. Those were great days.
