First the V85TT clone, now this... we're doomed. ;)

SWM (aka Speedy Working Motorcycles, one of many long-established Italian marques that has been taken over by Chinese ownership) is now selling a copy of the Sportster 1200 for basically the same price that Harley-Davidson did. And they’re also getting the big air-cooled V-twin into Europe despite the continent’s restrictive emissions regulations. The SWM Stormbreaker will carry an MSRP of 9,990 euros, which works out to just under $11,000 USD. swm-motorcycles.it/swm-moto/stormbreaker-v-1200-black/

You both missed the point. Chinese made HDs in Europe for all to afford, at roughly the cost here, is a rarity for them.
Even used HDs have always commanded a staggering price outside of the U.S.

I think they are keeping production for SWM in Italy though.

I don’t believe this has any Chinese assembled components on it.

Still, it does nothing for me.

Scott, sounds like a deal. Free dumplings what more could someone want. Are they 鸡肉、猪肉、牛肉 ?

Seriously though its scary, where is the world heading . Every ones concerned about the environment, waste etc in this day and age but I bet you see these things piled high in tips in years to come.

Time to get off the soap box.
Merry Christmas/Seasons greeting to you , Todd and the rest of members on the forum, from the land of OZ.

While some will sell here in Europe, as a whole cruisers aren't the big sellers they are in the US. The local HD dealer here also has triumph and Ducati and you have to walk through the HD to get to either of the other two. They still sell more triumph and Ducati by a good margin.
Price might be the only selling point. A new sportster here is close to €20k (sportster 1200S - is that the same?)
