Clutch adjustment

Hi.
Yes. Loosen your cable at the bar adjuster, adjust the lever as per your photo, then "fine tune" the adjuster back up at the handlebar. I'm not familiar with the V85TT-it may also have a cable adjuster along it's length which will also need to be slackened before adjustment at the gearbox end.

I’m new to MOTOGUZZI. Should turn it in or out?
If you Google something along the lines of "Moto Guzzi clutch adjustment" there a re quite a few Youtube vids. There may even be some on here. Use the search tab. I just clicked on the first one I saw and skimmed through it. But please follow the process in the correct order, i.e. clutch lever at the gearbox first, once you slackened the cable right off.

I love being helpful but some things you just have to say it like it is.

You need to read your Owner’s Manual.

It contains critical information about your motorcycle as well as detailed instructions for the operation and user adjustments necessary. In this case, your question is answered in deteil on pages 124-125.

If you cannot read the small book they gave you when you bought your motorcycle, you have 2 options available to you at the moment.

1. You can upgrade your account here and gain access to the Downloads section where you can grab a copy of the manual in PDF format which you can read with Adobe Reader for free.

2. You can request a free PDF copy from Moto Guzzi / Piaggio directly. Copy this address and paste it into your browser. Downloads sometimes don’t work on phones. Best to use a desktop.

I read the book the problem is the adjuster is out to far for new bike. Read the post . Sorry I hurt your feelings.

Jeff. Be advised that moving the arm and the back of the gearbox can cause serious issues if not done correctly. That arm needs to be at a specific angle to properly disengage the clutch. I recommend you have your dealer take care of this as the bike is still under warranty. Read through the V7 section and you will find where problems result from messing with the arm.
