Hello Guzzisti,
I just joined bc I acquired my father's 1991 Sessantacinque GT with 33,000 kM. I shipped it to the US and I am putting it back in shape, trying to stick with original parts. New tires, brakes, battery, mirrors, turn signals
and yes... oils.
I am drunk with reading posts about oil, which I realize go into all kinds of tangents, and I still can't pin point equivalent oils. Some posts talk about the older small block wanting zinc in the oil, which the Guzzi dealer near me did not care to explain. They recommend 10W60 (engine, Motorex Synt 4T) 80W90 (tranny, Fuchs
Silkolene Boa Hypoid) bc that's what the new bikes use.

The owner's manual calls for the following:
Engine Agip Sint 2000 SAE 10W40
Transmission (rear also) Agip Rotra MP SAE 80W140 or Molykote type A
Brakes Agip Brake Fluid Super HD
Fork Agip ATF Deron

I found for sale
Eni i-Ride Scooter 10W-40 Synthetic 4T Engine Oil
http://www.partsforscooters.com/172-159-Eni-i-Ride-Scooter-10W-40-4T-Engine-Oil

10/40 and 85/140 oil

I cannot find brake fluid. The reservoir said DOT4, so I am tempted to use any local brand.

I apologize for this annoying subject. Hopefully my research summarizes it for others. I would really
appreciate if someone can tell me:
if these are the right substitutes or,
if I should use the dealer's suggestions
what to use for brake fluid
what's the zinc all about

Grazie,
Pescatore
