Went to the Dayton Nevada Campout last weekend, and had a very nice time. I rode up with Brooke and Ed Pare from Carmel Valley, CA, and rode home with Pat Walsh, who has a very pretty Ducati.
We went over Ebbetts Pass going to the campout, and came back over Carson Pass and down thru CA's Gold country. Really great people in attendance, lots of nice guzzis, and beautiful scenery. Dan South always puts together a very nice event - not surprising considering what kind of person he is!!! I'm still sulking over not winning one of those totally cool raffle-prize knit hats....
Too many pix, but oh well....
Quick funny story: Pat and I were taking a break in Coulterville, when the squids pulled up after running the Li'l Dragon on hwy 49. I took their picture. Then 3 more pulled up and parked right in front of us. Got off, started talking to their buddies. One of their motos fell over and landed about 6" from my beloved RC. It was hilarious once i got over having a heart attack.
You shoulda been there, Safety Bob.

I think the SoCal Norton Club was doing a run last weekend thru the Sierras - saw those beautiful Brit bikes in Mariposa Fri night, and then again in Markleeville Sat afternoon, after we came thru Ebbetts....
Really fun weekend.

Yea maybe-except for the fact that you told me no way you were going until you called me from Mariposa half way up that night. That plus the aforementioned ticket last year, & near additional ticket for Brian. You give me a stupid undeserved revenue raising ticket one year, & I make sure to spend my tourist dollars elsewhere the next year or two or ........
