Tried to access the diagnostics menu to reset the little wrench service icon after 1st maintenance but it does not show up anymore.

Both trips and ATC are the only present options.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

It's for 2016 Moto Guzzi Stelvio NTX.

It's in the signature line now

Are you sure you're not long pressing the thumb selector long enough or short pressing it short enough. Not at all meant to sound condescending, but I've noticed on mine it's sometimes a game of holding my mouth right to get it to cycle to the feature I'm looking for. Other day I wanted the heated grips, but no way was I going to attempt to activate them while rolling and didn't need them enough to pull off and thumb through the screens to fire them up.

Yeah, Guzzi motorcycles are full of "character"...

I tried a few ways, but it wasn't showing up. Very strange that it happened right after I did the maintenance

Won’t show the menu unless it knows the bike is not moving. Was the bike stopped.

Try it with just the key on and the engine off. It is there.

It was all: on center stand in N, on side stand in N; just on, with engine running.

I'll be back home next week and give it another complete go.

Has anyone had anything similar happen?

Have never heard of that issue. The Menu function has to be there as there are other basic functions on that menu like setting the clock, in addition to the Diagnostics sub menu.

When you see the ATC function is when you have to do short switch to the left and right, not long. Long will just cycle the Trip 1, Trip 2 and ATC. The Menu function is in the list with ATC.

Notice grmaster1 said "with engine running". Best to get to diagnostics with the engine off.

Should still work either way. I have run the menu at a stop light with the bike running. It just needs to not be moving. Not even sure if neutral makes a difference. He is seeing the ATC menu. I suspect he just needs to scroll through that menu (short hold left and right) to find the Menu Icon along with the voltage, lap times, instant fuel economy, etc. If it is still not there then something is not communicating rights. They did not get rid of the menu feature

I tried with both, John Zibell, running engine and just the on position.

I'll be able to give it another go after the holidays, traveling in a car...

Canuck, I will try your recommendation with varying touch durations once I get to the Stelvio again. I think, Bonaventure suggested the same thing.

If that turns to be true, then this one is more capricious than a Caprese salad

No problem. Just flick the switch to the left or right once u are at the ATC menu. That will bring u to the screen called MENU. From there hold down the button to get the menu. Take a look in the manual. That part is actually pretty clear unlike the rest of the Caprese salad

Okay, I'm back home and the menu is "back".

More than likely, operator error and/or a really feisty toggle switch.

Service indicator is reset now.
