Simple enough exercise: Putting on a new head gasket.
2007 MG Griso. Only on one cylinder, so I simply need one head gasket.
Purchased a replacement part (part no: 967087), but in looking at the new replacement gasket:
A) Looks rather thick, with three layers.
B) One of these layers seem as thick as old gasket.
C) Has a pair of attaching sides, which i am pointing to in images.
Do these gaskets come in a pack where a pair is attached together and I have to break off the "nip" to get to a single gasket? Or am I reading too much into this, and the gasket will mold as the head and block combine and heat up.
Thank you.
