Hi there.

There is a used V100S I have put down a deposit on and hoping to have squared away within the next month or so (waiting on my trusty 2010 Kawasaki Z1000 to sell). The V100 S has been massaged by the original owner with Ago headers and Upmap tune. Thanks for this forum I have enjoyed the resources of all your happy (a couple not so) Mandello owner discussion :)

Cheers, Darin.

I'd ride the CBX over the Guzzi any day. I've loved those bikes since the day they first went on sale.
The CBX is a lovely thing for sure, and the sound of pulling away from a standstill with that 6 cylinder symphony never gets old! BUT... once you get anywhere near 100km/h all that personality of the engine is lost to a woosh of wind noise. Despite its labeling as a "super sport", it is actually super comfortable, but that throttle is noticably heavy on a long ride pulling all 6 carbs at a time! Despite it being the fastest bike in the work on release, compared with my Z1000 that has power everywhere, the CBX feels rather plodding and sedentary, it has no torque down low and 280KG or so to have to muscle around! The Z also trounces the V100 for power, but the V100 has comfort and character which is what I am after for my 50 year old ass.

Congrats and welcome to the GT Forum. Your first Guzzi? Hope you'll add your info to the Registry below. Enjoy/cheers!

Thank you yes this will be my first Guzzi! In truth I always a fan of the engine configuration, when I was a young man I owned a CX500 and would fantasize about one day owning the "real deal" :D I will be sure to join the registry when I have finished paying it off!
