Flashing Warning Light after shut-off

I have a new 2017 V9 Roamer, and it has started to exhibit a flashing general alarm light after complete engine shut off. This general alarm light continues to flash every couple of seconds continuously. The flashing alarm light does not illuminate at all with the engine running or the bike in use. What does this indicate?
 
As if anyone steals Guzzis. :giggle:

We love 'em, but they seem to attract little attention among the thugs. :mask:

On a more serious note, the seeming popularity of the later 7's and new 9's among the younger crowd may make them more attractive targets. Not sure how many thieves are fooled by the blinking red light, but if any, might be worth the battery drain.

The more popular motorcycles are the most frequently stolen ones. They're more available to chose from and they are less conspicuous on the road. A Guzzi stands out like a gold nugget in a sea of river pebbles. ;)

The top five most stolen motorcycle brands in 2014 were:
  • American Honda Motor Co. Inc.: 8,045.
  • Yamaha Motor Corporation: 6,728.
  • American Suzuki Motor: 5,987.

Harley has the highest theft rate % for the number sold.
