Hello,

So some of the bobins on the front floating rotor on the V7 are not loose.
I have tried to carefully loosen the them / work them loose ( so they move ) with a wooden dowel… with no success.

I came upon this video, that doesn’t seem like that good an Idea…

Looking for some expert opinion.

Thanks,
Don

Plenty of posts on this topic, but I'll leave this one. This applies to “full float” rotors only. I wouldn't use a power tool personally, but the concept works, though warped rotors are warped rotors. The "snowflake" rotors used in the '90s-'00s were notorious warp'ers. Cleaning the bobbins sometimes helped a little. Some bobbins/rotors are “semi float” - the bobbins don’t move much, and shouldn’t be forced.

Thank you sir , that was the advice I was looking for.
So, the rivets on a 2017 V7 III rotor should move a bit vs. being firmly stuck in place ?

Thank again,
Don
PS: ( because of the video content , I wasn’t sure about putting it in the Normal forums )
