Hi there,
On a crazy whim, I've recently bought an 83 Le Mans III.
I'm very excited. It's pretty much original as far as I can tell .. even got an airbox!
It runs, but very badly. I intend to sort it out and potentially restore her at some stage after I've had some fun rides.
I will probably ask for some advice here after I've been through all the obvious checks etc.. I've already learned heaps from threads I've read.
I also have a Tiger 1200.. which is lovely... but yearning to go back to my 70's roots and a simpler time.
Looking forward to being on this forum..
Cheers, Jerry

Congrats and welcome to the GT Forum & Guzzi Famiglia! Hope you'll next add your info to our Registry below, and hope to see you here often. Enjoy/Cheers!

Once you get it running and start to ride it, you will begin to remember what riding a motorcycle really is. That Le Mans will not have any of the current technology so you will need to ride it differently, depending on your skills rather than the bike's sensors. Also, it has an integrated braking system which your Tiger does not and that may take a little getting used to. Clutch adjustment will be important, it is essential that you monitor the amount of play down at the bottom lever. But you are correct, it is good to return to the simpler times when one could maintain a motorcycle bike without having to have a degree in computer science.

Hi Jerry, congratulations on the purchase.
In Nelson myself, well Richmond but close enough so if you need anything get in touch.
I can put you on to someone who has a Mk3, had it since new and its like a new pin. He will be able to help you out with any issues I am sure.

Cheers, Steve.
