Gearbox issues

Evening all, I'm having trouble with my v85tt gearbox.
When coming out of neutral into first and then trying to get second it jams in first and won't come out unless it's striped of the bike.
I've tried greasing the foot lever with no difference. The last time i was out it was good when cold but Jamed again when hot.
Only 7000mile on the bike.
Thanks in advance for any help.
 
I haven't checked the clutch,
On first inspection the lever the big spring and bearing is attached to was slightly bent.
it woundnt change gear until i strainghted it in the bench
