So I am getting very critical on making sure both bikes are taken care of.
I am thinking of trying some Lucas Motorcycle oil additive in the bikes as I
want them both to outlast me! In the truck shop we have used Lucas products and
it has helped a lot of engines, so what do you folks think?

May not be beneficial. The synthetic 10W60 should hold up just fine if changed on schedule. Remember the truck shop is diesel engines, water cooled. Your bike is air/oil cooled. Lucas makes good products. I use their synthetic grease, and sometimes put some of their fuel additive in the Model T Ford to keep the valves moving well. Just to let you know, I once worked where there was an Army oil analysis lab. I gave them a sample of oil I changed out from my Guzzi (Mobil 1 15W50 from a CAII). After it was analyzed, they asked my why it was changed. After 5K miles it was just fine to do the job.

Was thinking about dry starts if they are sitting for a week or two...
The synthetic oils stick pretty well. I've let my LeMans sit for some time and when I do a valve adjustment there is plenty of oil sticking to the components. The only oil I found that didn't stick well was Amsoil. I though I'd try it but drained it after I found it didn't stick like Mobil1 does.

Yes or no.
