Picked my new (old stock) 2023 V7 Special this summer. Had owned a number of different bikes when I was younger. Sold my GoldWing back in 1995 and that was the last time I had ridden a motorcycle until I pulled out of the dealer's lot on my new Guzzi a few months ago. A bit of a tight ride but managed to get home in one piece.

Was too busy working to have a bike for years and then every time I'd think about getting a bike I'd hit another deer. Have hit three so far. We'll see how lucky I am.

No real desire to take road trips or do highway miles any more. An infinitude of 30mph back country roads just outside my driveway. Wanted something simple. Air cooled and spoke wheels. The three that caught my eye were the Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor, the Kawasaki W800 and the V7 Special. The RE wasn't available near me. Went to the bike shop who had both of the latter. I actually preferred the W for looks but the Guzzi had a more comfortable seating position.

Have been having a blast and getting my sea legs back while rolling through the New England fall foliage. Ordered a center stand and was getting ready to do the break in maintenance soon.

953 trouble free miles until today. To be continued...........

Welcome to the GT Forum & Guzzi Famiglia. Both the Guzzi and RE require care and patience of their owners. Research and read up here. Please add your info to our Registry below. Enjoy the site. Cheers!
