Calling from the NW of England where Cumbria is Proper Guzzi riding country. I am going to enjoy ploughing through all these helpful posts
(not the ones at the side of the roads)
Bought a Le Mans mk5 in 1991 and it is just run in at 123,000 miles. I'm 80 now but can still get the bike onto the centre stand and wear the tyres to the edge. A grand bike.

Good for you, doing all that riding on a bike that most people wouldn't tour on. You must be made to fit it.

Your loaded-for-touring picture reminds me of pics from the Orient of a Honda step-thru with four people, two crates of chickens, six straw bales, and a live pig on board!

Keep on going and be an inspiration to us youngsters .....

Thanks for the intro comments. The pic was on the way back from Corsica, no pig on board Lannis,700 miles that day,,at 80-90mph, mostly top gear, keeps it quiet through villages. Both of us fresh as daisies the morniing after. The Monza fairing gives a comfortable balance in the wind. Not sure how Raven can say he could only manage 50 miles before a rest in his post The bike has been nothing but comfort and stability for me.! Great machine.
