Has anyone removed the tank strap from their V7III Anniversario..?

If so, how easy was it, and let's see a pic of how it looks. (Mine is currently in winter storage so can't check it out for myself..) I should say that I like the strap, but am thinking of putting on an aftermarket seat, and having a seat that does not match the leather of the strap might be a bit off.
