• Ciao Guest, The owner of this website and GTMotoCycles.com lost his home completely on the morning of January 8th in the L.A. Wildfire Storm. Most of his neighborhood is gone, and a few friends were killed along with their pets. The GTM SHOP and STORE are functioning normally, but we DEMAND EXTREME PATIENCE on orders as we are a SMALL business and Todd usually has his hands on nearly every order before it goes out. You can find more info on a post named L.A. Wildfires in the USA section. Our heart and best go out to everyone in this horrific disaster.

Has Moto Guzzi Abandoned the California?

I am in process of acquiring a 2020 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring and while I am anxious and excited to acquire and enjoy my new motorcycle, I am concerned about the support provided by the venerable Moto Guzzi company. Every Internet search for any sort of information or accessories for this model of Moto Guzzi results in a disappointingly sparse result. Has Moto Guzzi just left us California Touring owners in the dust? That would be very disappointing. Perhaps this is a result of the COVID pandemic and we can remain hopeful of a recovery in support of the model line?

I would hope that if they do re-releaase the Cali (or any new cruiser) it will be sporting a 1400cc water jacket motor. If so then it will be my last purchase for 2 wheels. If not I have my Cali 1100 Titanium and Cali 1400 Custom to have fun with.

Moto Guzzi is a boutique hand-builder of a very limited number of motorcycles.

The market share is so limited that accessories are few to begin with and non-existent after about 7 years.

It has been this way forever.

They have applied for a global trade mark, which has little meaning as they have others they’ve done nothing with. The cruiser segment has been a significant flop for them, though they are stubborn in that regards.

Accessories pretty well dried up after 2020 when they stopped production of the 1400. Have a look what's available in the store on this site and Todd should be able to let you know what is still available if you want something in particular. A lot of parts like the starter motor etc. are common to many Guzzi models so there is no problem in that regard.

Thanks and good to know actual parts are still available that are common to the whole 1400 line.
