A riding friend of mine has a 2021 V85TT for sale. He’s generally good to his bikes and keeps up with the maintenance. Hasn’t had any (major) problems with it. The price is decent, considering the age and the mileage (30k). Any thoughts on these bikes as they age? Reliability past the 25k mark?

I’m not interested in the value, more interested in comments about reliability and durability past 25k mi from peeps that have the V85 platform. Anyone over 50k? Your thoughts?

Only approaching 23k on my 2020. What i thought was excessive oil consumption from reported subpar piston rings on early models may just be my fault from preferring to see the oil level closer to the full line on the sightglass. If i let it stay midway, it doesn't seem to drop nearly as quickly.

Interested in seeing other well-used owner reports.

Jay
