How to refinish exahust header?

The previous owner melted something to my exahust header, and it dissolved the paint.
I was wondering if anyone knows the exact paint code for the header or if there are any ideas how to fix this without having to repaint the entire pipe.

I was also looking at wrapping the pipe but I think the exterior of the pipe is more of a heatshield and didnt know if it would damage, or cause any unwanted side effects. If anyone has experiance wrapping it with fiberglass tape or any other suggestions please let me know.
