I'm inside the belly of the beast - Having a heck of a time removing my bad oil pressure sensor from my 07 Norge. *Wonder why not connect to oil cooler line? I have been unsuccessful thus far in removing the fitting and certain it has never been done before.

Why you might ask am I doing this? I have been getting the dash error 07 RED triangle ararm and wanted to take care of it.

Thinking I might leave the bad sensor in place and tap into line to bring up to oil cooler? Sound reasonable incase I have to replace again?

If your Norge is similar to my 2007 Breva, inside the sump, according to the exploded view of the engine, there is a thermostatic valve for the oil. Ive not seen this myself as Ive never stripped the engine down. There may not be any oil going up to the cooler untill the engine reaches a certain temperature.

Thanks Kevin. That makes sense. This is not a rare occurance as I am reading, why make it so hard to reach? Seems there should be a better solution as it takes alot of time to get to the part to replace.

Now you know why mechanics curse design engineers. I've replaced a few, it isn't that bad of a job. The key is to clear the field to gain decent access.
