Well, a test ride set the hook. My first Guzzi. Been longing for one for many years but my long legs would find the cyclinder heads, or tank cutouts a "challenge". Not so with the Stelvio, and egads am I smitten.

Been catching up on all the Stelvio news here. Confirmed via the VIN# mine is a 2009. Does the cam recall apply to this bike?

Thanks!

Steve

Re:An Intro, A Break-In Service Question. Or Two

Nice looking Stelvio - & in country too B) . Now go to the Registry and make Todd happy.

there was a recall some time back but an 09 plated VIN should be golden on that front... read around here a bit and you'll have the knowledge to check it has the latest maps etc..

Moz

ps don't be too gentle settling her in either ;)

Re:An Intro, A Break-In Service Question. Or Two

Thanks. Seems to be the case as I read around... '09 Stelvio's not affected by the cam recall/service bulletin.

My 09 had to have the tappets replaced.

Have your dealer check the vin online.

There are no 2008 Stelvios in the US. They all came in registered as early 2009 models and all required the recall.
