• NOTICE: The owner of this website and GTMotoCycles.com completely lost his home on the morning of January 8th in the L.A. Wildfire Storm. Most of his neighborhood is gone, and a few friends were killed along with their pets. The GTM SHOP and STORE are functioning normally, but we DEMAND EXTREME PATIENCE on orders as we are a SMALL business and Todd usually has his hands on nearly every order before it goes out. You can find more info on a post named L.A. Wildfires in the USA section. Our heart and best go out to everyone effected in this horrific disaster.

I may be wrong, but since day one I got a feeling that the Cunucks are strongly represented across this forum, given their relatively small numbers in absolute terms.

So, to my northern neighbors I say: Fu#king Congratulations Canada !!
1 & 3rd at the Hahnenkamm

Given all the $hit going on in LA, which is unbelievably depressing, hard to comprehend in its devastation, and god to I suffer for all who were affected, I try to balance out the bad with the good, and having a North American on the podium despite the Alps are once again devoid of snow, is fantastic.

Pitter patter, let's get at ‘er! If any of you are still sober, shame on you

Fantastic result equaling Todd Brooker and Ken Read in 1983. I did a few races in one of Todd Brooker's speed suits.
Also Dustin Cook (a former team member) was my neighbour, his parents still are. While I'm bragging, my father was in the 1936 Olympics in Garmisch Germany.

Ha! Good on you buddy. As a tween I headed over to do the Topolino, which introduced me to Italy for the first time. Later I lived in Partenkirchen for 3 consecutive seasons while doing NorAms & EuropaCup. Assuming your father represented the cunucks, I guess he is either Clark, Ball, or Baadsvik. Brooker & Read were legends. Few people are able to grasp just how unforgiving that course is. Sarrazin appears to have brain damage after his spill in Italy this Christmas. At any rate, your not bragging, just sharing and it brings a smile to my face. I’ll raise a bourbon to you and your old man this evening. Cheers.

I tried skiing once.

Froze to death and sore and bruised from top to bottom. Never got off the beginner slope.

The cocoa around the big firepit back at the chalet was wonderful, though.

I was at Holmenkollen in '52 as a 5 year old during the Olympics. Still have a pin in my junk box. Yes, I think the hot chocolate caught my focus more than the jumping. When I was young, we skied on the one-piece hand carved Hickory skies with leather bindings that you now find over the fireplace in the day-lodges. Cross-country (mainly),downhill and jumping, all on the same skies. Over time, the gear improved.
Today on the coast: Not so much :).
