Hi all, hope someone can help. I'm needing to adjust my clutch every few weeks (drag rather than slip). I get the free play right so it's sweet, then it starts getting grumpy again. I looked today at the adjuster (see photos). Is that right? It's looking almost conical. I hold the adjustment with a vise grip, and tighten the lock with another one, but it just won't stay put!IMG_1391.webpIMG_1395.webp

Tons of clutch adjust info on this site. Search. Read. Clutch adjustment in this frequency is common, however the cable may need replacement. They don’t last forever. As to your photo, that should be done by fingers only, it is available separately;

It does look a bit crushed from over tightening. Only need enough to stay in place. If cable is stretching that often I would pull it apart & see if cable strands are popping, It will leave you stranded unless you can ride W/O clutch..

Thanks guys, brilliant. I'll replace cable and adjuster, makes sense. Also, Vagrant, I'll start greasing the barrels!
