I spent two weeks with a 1200 Sport, and I absolutely loved every minute of it. I think the Sport was an interim model to test a few ideas before launching the Stelvio (bars, motor, and probably some other things). The 1200 pulls like a locomotive, the gearbox is just butter compared to the 5 speed, and the motor sounds like a built small-block Chrysler. It takes a lean like you wouldn't believe, is insanely comfortable, looks smashing and the tiny windscreen is well-designed and actually does something. I loved the huge headlight, the big bars that provide tons of leverage.

If you like to do lean-offs, you might be a bit disappointed because the seat just holds you in place so very well. Doesn't bother me in the least, but some people like to crawl all over their bikes.

I wrote a complete review about it on my blog http://danilogurovich.wordpress.com/mot ... ew-digest/

Great bike that I have fond memories of.

Re:Sad day

(all this has nothing to do with the thread's topic, but)

No, I don't think it was (certainly not for the motor). It's just another way to package the Breva concept to make it appealing to a slightly different clientele - or a roadster version of the Norge, also to appeal to a (somewhat more) different clientele.
I wonder if in the end we're going to see as many declinations as with the V11 ;)

draidt: I agree. I like slugs (ask my mum about that :silly:). On my plate, but to ride one is a particular pleasure too :D

Just wanted to say I enjoyed your observations about the 1200S. Going back now to see what you think about the Vintage.B)
