Anyone know of a good Moto Guzzi mechanci in New England? I'm on the South Shore of Massachusetts. I bought my bike at Wagner Motorsports in Worcester; and they seem to specialize in BMWs and Ducatis. Is there anyone in Mass, NH, Vt or Maine that is more of a Guzzi specialist?

I've heard good things about the mechanic here Eddie's Vintage Motorcycles
    487 W. Swanzey Rd. Route 10 - 03446 Swanzey, NH
    PHONE: (603) 352-0004 FAX: (603) 352-0146

You could also check with Seacost in Derry NH, or Eastern Cycle in Beverly MA. http://www.easterncycleducati.com/ Easter Cycle is around the corner from the former Freeman's Cycle. Too bad Skip gave the dealerships up.

Guzziben, I'm from the south shore too! Hope to see you soon at a ride or event.

We don't have any good dealers near us, or even any Guzzi-knowledgeable private mechanics, at least that I know of. I've heard good things about Razee's of Kingstown, RI. They are a Guzzi dealer and carry stock, but don't push the brand. You have to ask for it, like ordering a drink during prohibition. I rode down one day last year and chatted with a manager, who was proudly wearing a Guzzi shirt. Just makes me wish the brand would sell a little better.

What's your ride and what do you need done?

    Joe

I have a Stelvio. Nothing needs to be done; I'd just like to know if there is someone in the area who knows what he is doing. Thanks for the info!

i live in rhody and use razzee's for much of my work. they are a fine establishment but the staff while very helpful and competent simply don't do a ton of guzzi work. staying on top of "issues" by reading this forum and wild goose will often uncover things that the razzee staff simply haven't bumped into because of the low numbers of guzzi's they work on. however, if you point things out to them they will be on it in a heart beat. personal example, i did not buy my breva 1100 from them but had my beemers stuff handled in part by them for 20 years. when i showed up for my first service with the breva i told them of two issues i had read about on this forum and asked them to look into it. sure enough the problems were there, solved, and on top of that they thanked me for passing along the info and on one matter called up a the owners of b 11's they had sold and asked them to stop by and have the side stand issue checked out. so, these are reputable, really go to folks but if piaggio doesn't send them a bulletin they don't know about things unless you give them a heads up. my plan is to use them for another 20 years at which point i will be about a hundred and will likely switch over to something electric, like a heart lung machine.
