How long do I have before I need to change the oil? Like a few miles or what?

I may not be able to get it to the dealership nearby soon and want to know if it's still safe to ride with it on. It's my daily driver.

Check oil level! If over your oil change interval change it.
Check Oil Level if oil light stays on, it is either faulty sensor or you are out of oil. Check strait up on level surface.
Read your owners manual to confirm it's the oil (pressure) light.

How much should an oil change be? i have a dealership trying to charge me $247 for an oil change. Is this too much? It seems like a lot.

It's La Moto Washington in Arlington, VA. It's not my first service. It would be second, but my mileage is 2737, not near 6920 mile mark. So, the light is the faucet icon, which I falsely assumed was the oil change light, but seems to be the oil pressure light.

How does one check the oil pressure?
You have to purchase and install the necessary fittings and gauge to connect where the oil pressure sensor is located. I do suspect a faulty sensor. So I'd change that first to save a bunch of aggravation. Those sensors seem to be a high failure rate item.
