Spending the day with my favorite riding companion...

My middle son Jordan. He is 30 and severely autistic but he absolutely LOVES riding in his sidecar with Dad. 🥰🙏

Jordan thinks there is nothing like a motorcycle ride to have a nice piece of homemade pie at Grimes Airfield. (Jojo appreciates EVERYTHING.) Such a sweet human being. 🥰😘😍

What does he think of rose ?
PS: We haven’t heard much about ‘her’ lately 😢

Jordan has never seen her.

The man I bought her from, Mark, had terrible seller's remorse and has formally asked to buy Rose back and I agreed to sell her back to him.

He has to come retrieve it here in Ohio or ship it back to Colorado as I am unwilling to make that run to Colorado Springs again.

I am awaiting the money wire next week into my bank and Rose is tucked in and covered in the corner of the workshop. I won't ride her anymore.

It was an interesting experience and I'm grateful for it but this was my first and truly the only vintage bike I will ever own. I discovered that I appreciate vintage motorcycles like I appreciate vintage cars, but I'm not the "serious" vintage guy.

I'm just too addicted to modern motorcycles and scooters.

Also, it was also a ton of money to have tied up in a single motorcycle. That fact really bothered me way too much.

I'm way too frugal in that regard.

Curiously, I was supposed to buy Enzo Miller's Nuovo Falcone from him before I bought Rose. (He's the owner of Cadre Cycle.)

He kind of balked when I showed up cash in hand. I don’t know.

If I really feel the need to have a Moto Guzzi single, there is always that one.

I think Rose is just too pristine for me maybe. I prefer to ride motorcycles and minimize the maintenance on them and that is definitely not Rose. 72 years old requires constant attention and TLC.

So, I believe that things happen for a reason.

🙂

I find my NF to be a completely functional motorcycle. you really could ride it every day, just change the oil a little more often. it's a nice example of a usable classic.

Sounds like he considered it, but when it actually came down to doing the deal, he wasn’t prepared for the reality of parting with it, he just couldn’t .
