The airbox cover of the new 2024 models has indeed been improved, but unfortunately it does not fit into the previous E4 and E5 models. The shape of the back is more protruding - the bevel is not there.

Maybe it would fit when you also replace part 2B005442 underneath ... ?

You’ve done this? Is that your photo? If so, can you take a pic of these from the side? Hopefully the redesign seals the box much better. Nearly every one we’ve serviced has had significant dust in the intake.

Only got photos from this angle. I did not try this by myself. I have asked our German Guzzi specialist Däs Mototec (I am a customer) if he could try this. He was also interested so he did this for me and sent the photos.

Meanwhile the spare parts catalogs for the E5+ (2024) models are available online.

These are probably the differences that affect the new airbox lid (12) => part 4 is new and different and part 10 (w. three screws 11) is new. If this would solve the problem with the bad lid, the costs would probably be manageable:

You would need:
1. battery box: 2B011780
2. battery holder: 2B011781 + 3x AP8150509 self-tap screw 5x14
3. filter holder (aka airbox lid): 2B011834

Airbox 2024

My K&N was in there for about 500 km and did a good job. No more dirt got past the filter.
But the whole thing didn't leave me in peace, so I converted to the 2024 parts.

You need:
1. battery box 2B011780 (“battery box” - lower shell)
2. battery holder: 2B011781 + 3x AP8150509 self-tap screw 5x14 (battery base plate + 3 screws)
3. filter holder: 2B011834 (airbox cover)
+ Thin foam rubber strip (DIY store) for battery base plate, Guzzi part (AP8117200) is far too expensive

Optionally you could fit the following:
- 2 new intake snorkels (Intake hose 2B011835) - probably have a slightly different shape (shorter?)
- Additional holder/securing device for the ECU: Holder 2B011814 + 2x AP8150509 self-tap screw + rubber spacer AP8220186

The new lower shell has 2 holes at the bottom for mounting the new IMU CPU, these can be sealed.

The new airbox lid is much more stable due to the many struts, so nothing can warp.
The new upper opening probably provides more air supply than the two lower openings of the old lid.

I am challenged when it comes to these things and it's a little hard to follow. Is the new 2025 air filter box still held together with the 4 springs? What was the final cost?

Yes, this new cover fits to the front part and those 4 clamps/springs are at the same position, just the back has a different shape.

So as I understand it the new airbox's improvements are mainly with air flow and the addition of the struts.
When re-attaching the two parts (after installing KN and filter grease) I thought how flimsy the spring attaching system was and was hoping that that would be addressed too.

I think the spring attaching system works much better now because the cover is much stiffer. The outer edge also no longer deforms.
For me it was worth the effort.
