Hi everyone, I just recently joined guzzitech . About 2 years ago I acquired a 1975 Moto Guzzi 850T. On the frame it says 1974, but in the title it says 1975. When I bought the motorcycle it was given to me with frame engine, handlebars, brakes and tires put together. The electrical and other parts came in the box. I'm currently working on the electrical I do have a wiring diagram that I am following and its helping a lot. I just placed the coils on the bike and need to connect them to the contact breaker. I'm a little unsure how to connect the wires correctly. I'm trying to find a picture or some simple guidance in how everything is connected. If anyone has some simple direction or pictures it would really help a lot. here is a photo.

If I remember correctly, the wires from the points connect directly to the coils on the 850-T. Red wire to right-cylinder coil and green to left. They connect to the - (negative) side of the coil. A white wire supplies power to the coils, it connects to the + side of one coil, and a blue/black wire connects the positive sides of the coils together.

Just curious i was looking at the wiring diagram of 1974 moto guzzi 850t and it shows that the red wire is connected to the coil of the left cylinder and the green wire is connected to the coil of the right cylinder. I might be wrong and might be viewing the diagram incorrectly.

There is no left or right on the wiring diagram, only upper and lower. The right cylinder points set has a red wire, which goes to the right cylinder coil. Do you have a shop manual? It's all covered in that.
