• NOTICE: The owner of this website and GTMotoCycles.com completely lost his home on the morning of January 8th in the L.A. Wildfire Storm. Most of his neighborhood is gone, and a few friends were killed along with their pets. The GTM SHOP and STORE are functioning normally, but we DEMAND EXTREME PATIENCE on orders as we are a SMALL business and Todd usually has his hands on nearly every order before it goes out. You can find more info on a post named L.A. Wildfires in the USA section. Our heart and best go out to everyone effected in this horrific disaster.

I left my 1992 R100RT to a good legacy bike owner and decided to look for a more "modern" classic design. I bought a 2023 V100S and rode that for 15,000 miles but it wasn't a Moto Guzzi in character. Not really at all. A great bike for a fast reving SPORT type but it needs to say Aprilia in it's DNA.

While I had the V100S, I went back and bought the 2024 V7 STONE model 10. WOW, this is a Moto Guzzi! Strange as it may seem, while servicing the V7, I traded off the V100S for a 2025 V85TT TRAVEL set up as a STRADA (cast wheels, no bash plate, standard pipe guards, inner front fender) and love this thing too! That 850 cc air cooled mil(s) is/are terrific in both bikes. They not only GRUNT but revs out really well. I'm really impressed with the Guzzi air cooled mils power and flexible nature. It really hits the spot anywhere. The general design seems really good.

Each bike is still real different in purpose but both excel in their trade. The V7 just effortlessly disappears under you as a back road renegade. The V85TT can, and wants to just, go forever. I miss the V100S beauty but it has too much sport ADHD in it's bones and that's not me.

With the V7 and V85TT I retain that big twin feel with more modern accompaniments; fuel injection (I don't smell like raw gas after a ride), traction control, anti-lock brakes, cruise, better handling, superb suspension on the V85TT, modern tires, lights that work, etc.

Working on the V7's front brake that is too retro right now with a BREMPO 15RCS master cylinder set-up I bought on this site. I'll keep you posted on that progress but the threads seem really positive for two finger strong brakes like the V100S and V85TT have. The little V7 got left behind in the brakes and suspension some.
