Due to customer entitlement in our Amazon world, we have pulled all Hepco product from our GTM Store.
We had a customer order bags and C-Bow mounts for his bike, and didn't note what model he had until he had received them. When they didn't fit, he then proceeded to go on a tirade (even posting here if anyone caught it before I deleted it) after we simply asked for photos to be of help as requested by Moto Machines. Instead, he crudely threw everything in a box and sent it back without a return authorization, and our request to return as sent. The buyer then disputed the full charge with us, and is demanding the return shipping cost from us as well. Disputes tie up my funds for up to 120 days, and we get charged a significant fee on top of the ~3% CC fee of the $1k order.
The owner of Moto Machines, Ed Stiley, allowed his employee to tell me that they "couldn't be of help" and was further argumentative with me (demanding a phone call and repetitively calling me after I hung up on them after being told that). He then locked me out of my account and charged me a 20% restock fee for unauthorized product return. This is how they treat me after over a decade of business with them(?).
I did NOTHING wrong here aside from be the middle man to take the abuse on both ends. I honestly tried multiple times to work with both parties, but have obviously given up. I'm taking the high road here on the ugliness that I endured.
I have put a complaint in to HB Germany as well.
I am posting this here for GT user notice; I DO NOT recommend doing business with MM, though I am aware of how many do after using me and this site for info. If I see any mention or links to them, they will be deleted and you will be warned. One more reason I step closer to pulling the plug on all of this.

The older I get (65), the more I am catering to my own wishes and needs. If I don't want to go somewhere, funeral, wedding etc., I don't go. If I don't want to do something, I don't do it. I turned down several reno jobs this summer. I looked at them and said yes, I'll make a lot of money but what a pain in the ass it's going to be. If I don't like someone, I don't speak to them. If someone doesn't want to speak to me, I don't really care.
If you are truly fed up like it sounds, think about it. Do you get more grief than reward doing what you're doing?
Life is short.

That it is. I only post here, on rare occasion, of the 1% of frustration that I endure daily, in order to simply vent. I still enjoy this site for the general comradery, and bringing Guzzisti together. But like you, I'm focusing on myself more now, and not many know of what I've been dealing with for ~2 years in my personal life, which has been mental torture.

I made the joke about getting - early release for good behavior - although I did enjoy “part of the job” some of it was starting to wear thin… so I was relieved to get let go !
Like Raven said life is too short to waste time and energy on Dumb €£¥ Mother €¥£§#$$ !
It would be great if you could leave dealing with the BS to someone else you can trust and focus on that you Like and Want to Do !!!
We would hate to loose You and what you’ve built and the Friends we have here !

It’s unbelievable that a vendor would act that way. The entitled public can drive you crazy.

That is unfortunate.

Same stupid behavior drove scott_m away and he wrote this in his signature:

“For the most part, I am gone from GuzziTech. I no longer post actively nor do I monitor any incoming messages or requests. Sorry.
Unfortunately, too many jerks who have personally attacked me over the years have ruined the entire experience and I’m over it.”

Is the default jack-assery worse than in the past? It seems like it to me. I remember forums and before those message boards known for such (AR-15.com was a doozy), but if you didn’t go there and participate they would waste their time arguing with each other. Thank you Todd for doing the heavy lifting of banning the bad actors here.

We’ve done business with MM for years as well. When everything goes right they’re great. Dispute resolution, however, ……. Well, you already know. We’ve become very careful about how we sell their product, but as their offerings are so broad we feel the need to soldier on, especially for our Triumph customers. Sorry you had trouble, Todd.

On the bright side, they’ve never sent us a Stelvio 1200 left head in a box marked as a right head (we needed a right head). Not mentioning any names, but the company rhymes with Giaggio Proup. ;)

Thanks. Disgustingly unprofessional attitude from him really.
If interested, write me via email on how to source HB cheaper from Europe. Returns are a problem obviously though.
Ah yes, the ‘ol R/L switcharoo has been prevalent since the 90s, with Guzzi S.p.A., then Aprilia, now Piaggio. Worse yet when you’re the middleman and trying to run a business where you get nothing but grief and expense on both ends, customer and supplier like MM.
