Hey fellows, stupid question here, i'm going to do a thorough service on me nevada - including cleaning the sump & secondary filter. I have both gasket cork & paper on the ready, will cork do? Or are there metal bits in the original gaskets? Thanks in advance

Why not just buy the correct gaskets? If you won't then use paper. Cork wouldn't hold up.

You can buy gasket paper if you're keen on making your own. I did for years, but I got older and more sensible :p. Gasket paper has a high lead content.

Just recieved a factory gasket after the dealer told me it was some sort of rubber composite. It was, in fact, made of aluminium

What annoys me is that nobody told me they're made of metal. I never replace metal bits with any other material
