I'm having a very difficult time reading the overflow tank on my V100. Anyone got better approaches? I can see it, I can't tell what the level of coolant is.

I've got a center stand, but if you don't, straddle it and keep it straight. Get a buddy to help.Turn the handlebar slightly to the left and shine a flashlight low left or left to right (through the overflow tank). If you or your friend can't see the fluid ( and it's not dry), keep the flashlight on and give the bike a little giggle to get it sloshing around a bit. You can do the same while on the center stand.

I had a similar issue when I first got my mandello. I found that if I put a 2x4 under the kickstand it put the bike close to upright. I then turned the handlebar to the left and used a bright flashlight to illuminate the coolant reservoir. It helps the shake the bike a bit to see the pink colored coolant move around. This is also the best way to add coolant with a think necked squeeze bottle. Good luck.

After reading this thread yesterday I checked mine. It was down a tickle. I used a turkey baster to bring it up to its proper level. I keep one handy for just this kind of thing. The last thing I used it for was to remove excess motor oil after the dealerships first and last service. I put some tubing on the end to reach the oil level.

OK, Thanks for all the help. It's readable, but it's not easy. A bright flashlight helps but also getting to the right angle. Can't really see the minimum marker, but the level is just a smidgen above the max level. Surely not enough to cause any problems.

Tiny LED torch held against plastic overflow.
Then I top up from min to max with 60 mil of water with a hint of blackcurrant juice to see level 🤣👍
Dave…. on the red and gold one🏍️

PS I’ve had coolant leak repaired but it’s back again 😡❗️you can smell it but can’t see it this time round ☹️☹️ IMG_1942.jpeg IMG_1945.jpeg
