Hi all, I want to replace the Zard exhausts on my 2013 California 1400 Touring for original ones. I can get some used ones on Marktplaats here in the NL, they are advertised as 2020 exhausts. Do those fit on my 2013 bike, and what do I need to watch for with these pipes (particularly what materials should come with it so that I can ensure they will go on my bike)? And also: do I need to remap the ECU after the retrofit? See attached some pics from the intended original pipes.
Parts manuals are available in the downloads. Compare part numbers. If the same part number they will fit. You can access the downloads after you upgrade your account.

In addition to John’s words above, as long as it’s a Touring model mufflers, they should work. Any dealer can check/update the map for you for stock everything, though it likely still has a factory map, even with the Zards. Also see my post below and our work in this section on this model.
A fact to start: No stock Guzzi ECU/F.I. system is fully adaptive, nor can 99% of the dealers do anything to help as they are mostly factory map/warranty restricted. If you modified your bike, it will NOT adapt. Even completely stock, fuel mapping is set up for emissions, not the health and longevity of your motor. They will run poorly and hot. This is just a simple fact of ALL (ICE) Internal Combustion Engines running in modern times, especially air/oil-cooled, and now strict emission water-cooled motors. In our decades of fueling experience, proper air/fuel revisions can...
At least in the 2014 year models, the Custom mufflers appear identical to the Touring. A buddy and I compared them in 2016, when I fitted Mistrals. FWIW...
