While in Austin I picked up a pair of Rizoma turn signals. Looking to replace the front stock signal lights on my 2017 V9 to give it a cleaner look. Anyone has installation details, etc?

I bought the Rizoma front and rear signals for my 2017 Anniversario V7III. At a stand still with installation. Can’t find any helpful install instructions specific to Moto Guzzi. FR165
I try to keep it clean - I just found that Baak sells a rear wiring harness AND now has resistors for LED conversions. I like this option much more than the bulky cheap ones you can get that get really hot.
Interesting that they say to put the resistor in series with the LED. This would not increse the current to keep the ECU or the flasher unit happy. It has to go in parallel.
The 50 watt rating is overkill. I calculated a 15 ohm 5 watt resistor is all you need.

(Not to threadjack, just wanted to follow up and say it appears that my 2018 v7 doesn’t require resistors for LEDs. The Baak wiring harness is really helpful still.)

Bumping this old (mostly relevant) thread. I’ve installed 4 wire Rizoma IRIDE signals (brake / running / turn) in the back of my ‘14 V7 Special, and am getting a constantly lit rear right turn signal (with hyper flashing front) while the left side works fine. I connected the right rear signal to the left blinker and it worked correctly as well, so no issue with the wiring of the signal itself.
I’m assuming this is indicative of needing a resistor inline in the signal chain based on the symptoms?
Photo of a constantly light turn signal for reference - you can imagine the right front signal hyper flashing
To (not) answer my own question, installation of a 3W Rizoma resistor inline didn't solve the problem -- the resistor itself gets SCORCHING hot after a couple of seconds of running the blinker, which seems surprising as well.
The resistor will get hot quickly and this is normal.
I would check with the Rizoma installation guide to see if you need two resistors for each LED light or just one.
You would need the resistor(s) on all the LED signals. If you are only installing two LED turn signals on the back and adding the resisters did not help, someone with more wiring knowledge would need to chime in.
I feel like a nimrod. Turns out one of the harness pins was crossing on the right side, I fixed the harness and everything is tied up and fine, sans resistors.

Happens to all of us. Glad you got it sorted out. I did something similar years ago with a throttle cable. I spent weeks going back over and looking at what I did. No good. Finally I removed the cable and reinstalled it and immediately saw what I had done wrong. My hands could figure out what my eyes could not.
