Rocker Cover Temperature

Hi everyone. I had a few of these Brembo temperature indicator stickers so I decided to stick one on my left rocker cover. After I got home, I noticed 132 deg. C on the left rocker cover after going through quite a bit of traffic. Just got valve clearances checked, adjusted and throttle/clutch cables lubed. Ambient temp was around 37 deg. C. Is this normal?

Must be cause you got it. A big block 8V like a Norge the fans come on at 125C if the work correctly. Need more air across the motor. One reason to use 10/60 it sheds heat. Trying to meet emissions makes heat. That's why some riders are changing the fueling.
 
Yes pretty normal. Valve covers get hot even on a water cooled car. I recommend putting that temp gauge in the trash.
 
Those hot valve covers have often provided me with short term hand warmers when I am caught out when night temperatures get too cold and I only have my light gloves. I take the way home then that runs me on surface streets with stop lights, and warm my hands waiting for the lights to change. :D
