Rode a V7 850 Stone for the second time today, bad boy in cool orange and black. A 2022 found at 1,700km, great condition all around. Took it home last week
What a ride i thought, loving it.
Hi from Jakarta to all
Congrats and welcome to the GT Forum & Guzzi Famiglia. Hope you'll add your info and photo to our Registry linked below. Love having everyone here from around the world. Enjoy/Cheers.Rode a V7 850 Stone for the second time today, bad boy in cool orange and black. A 2022 found at 1,700km, great condition all around. Took it home last week. Thank you for the warm welcome BillWelcome, Omar!
I rode on a Guzzi-sponsored group tour in Corsica and Sardinia last fall. A couple from Jakarta were in the group; he, Trismo, the "pilot;" she, Retno, the rider. Great folks.
I was surprised at what an accomplished and liquid a rider he was, even with a pillion, on the often very technical roads we were on. I had assumed -- always an error-- that one could not get that way in a major urban area like Jakarta. Doh.
Just looked at Google maps in "terrain." Your routes 3 & 11 alone, much less some of the others I did not see, must be a hoot.
On a less happy note, saw much mention of "West Jakarta flooding." Was unaware, but will now look on web about that. Condolences to all affected there.
If ever over here, come visit the Moto Grappa at the tip-top of Virginia.

P.S. If interested -- and my feelings are not easily bruised-- see the pix of that Corsica-Sardinia ride.
If you have neither time nor inclination to see all of those, just watch the three brief vids that start very early in the slideshow. They capture so much of the riding experience that this tour was for me. Moreover, the Retno, the Indonesian pillion, took those vids.
The link opens in “collage landscape,” thereby (in theory, at least) permitting you to see all images at once, and to see all (untruncated) captions by hovering your cursor over individual pix.
Open the slideshow to see the larger pix and captions … (tho, maddeningly) Smugmug allows captions to fade after several unless you work at seeing them. Grrrrr.

And, here is a link to some vids that I did not include in the slideshow, but you might find interesting.

Back now to my reality: tax forms. I wouldn't have written so much if I were not procrastinating about that.
