Im building a cafe racer based on a 1000 round barrel engine, just wondering what power could I get using the typical hop ups, high comp' race cam etc? thanks

I achieved about 100HP on a 750cc (1973 V7 Sport). It took a LOT of money, a LOT of time. But we finally set a record at Bonneville that is still holding. (750cc P-PP class).
If you don't wish to bet it all .. and actually ride the thing more than 3 miles at a time, with confidence, comfort, and ease (& not a hand grenade) I Agree with V700Steve.

Thanks for that, I've rebuilt the bottom end the crank is solid enough, with big mains, are the rods a weak part?

No. What's your budget? Are you garage/hobby assembling? What are you hoping to achieve?

I have what you might call a professional machine / fabrication shop, all work done "in house" . I can afford anything I feel is worth having / doing.
