Sensor on the top rear end of gearbox v7

Mounted in the top of the rear gearbox cover, on my 2023 v7 stone, is a sensor with a single wire. I'm assuming this is the tachometer sensor, but I'm not sure. Can anyone tell me what it is? The guzzi schematics just say "sensor"
