• NOTICE: The owner of this website and GTMotoCycles.com completely lost his home on the morning of January 8th in the L.A. Wildfire Storm. Most of his neighborhood is gone, and a few friends were killed along with their pets. The GTM SHOP and STORE are functioning normally, but we DEMAND EXTREME PATIENCE on orders as we are a SMALL business and Todd usually has his hands on nearly every order before it goes out. You can find more info on a post named L.A. Wildfires in the USA section. Our heart and best go out to everyone effected in this horrific disaster.

I am a new member so treat me gently 😁. I have an 09 Moto Guzzi 1200 Sport and the SERVICE warning light is on across my screen. The engine has just had a rebuild, to replace the clutch seal, so does not need a service.

I have read in here about the service codes and the code 36421 gets me in but I can’t get the word SERVICE to drop from my screen.

I select MODE, toggle to MENU, then to DIAGNOSIS, enter the code 36421, scroll to RESET SERVICE, then YES to reset the service. I get the RESET COMPLETE message but the word SERVICE will not disappear from my screen.

What am I missing? Or is there a problem with my bike.

Comments would be appreciated.

The big service across dash is no good. It is not like the service wrench. It is covered here somewhere, let me search.

Here's one Now it's your turn

I have just been dealing with this. You need to go back in the menu and see what codes it shows. Mine was code 7 as I recall which was the oil sensor which I had replaced. Turned out that is a common issue with this model.

Always search...
