Sleeper
Just got it firing!
I have been enjoying My 73 Eldorado that I purchased in May for the last couple of months. I figured it was time to run through the regular maintenance items on the bike.
The only issue that has been bugging me is it sometimes stalls at lights and stop signs due to very low idle. I started by torquing the heads and adjusting the valves.
I adjusted the points to .017 gap but when I was setting the static timing I could not adjust the distributer far enough to get the light to come on at the static timing notch on the pully. With the distributer turned all the way clockwise against the stop the light would come on at the TDC mark on the pully.
So I am throwing it out there for some ideas. I'm sure this has happened to someone else but I really couldn't find anything specific searching.
Attached are pics of the distributer and the pully position when the static timing light comes on.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
