TECHNICAL BULLETIN 002 - 2012 16-03-2012

Model: Stelvio all versions - except MY11
Subject: Vehicle Technical Update.
Dear Dealer/service outlet,
as part of our research aimed at improving the characteristics of use of our products, we
recommend suggesting that the Customer include the protection (code 883968) to improve the
insulation of the control unit.
The measure is the responsibility of the Customer since it is a technical update.

It is a rubber cover fitting over the ecu to keep water out. When you have rain, it's usefull, England read this!

Talk about coincidence …. I was thinking about this a couple of days ago.
Read a couple of threads about relays connectors not making contact (I assumed corrosion)
I don’t remember who here that got caught in a rain storm and water got into the ECU module.
Anyway tonight, before I saw this, I decided I was going to do something about the open wiring under the dash.

I cut out 2 flexible rubber mats to size …. Double sided taped and tie-wrapped them on each side.

Should work! (For Snow also? )
Cheers

Hello DanPez,
I would also like to install some form of protection for my ECU, it is very hard to see exactly what you put on yors judging by your pictures. Is there any way you can clarify or do you have any other pics? Thank you.
Hotpass

Hey Hotpass,
What I installed was "skirts" on both sides.
If there is any water / cross rain?? splashing from the top the Relays(right) and ECU(left) will be protected.

If you lean down under the 2 silver side panel and look up you can still have access to the units.

Hope this helps ..... Cheers
