does anyone here currently use the booster plug on their stelvio. Also am I the only one who's stelvio refuses to keep a constant idle note .

Also can anyone confirm what the valve clearance is for a stelvio with roller tappets. I keep hearing rumors that the .10 and .15 was for flat tappets and they have since updated to a lower value?

I understood roller valve clearances are larger (0.15/0.20mm or .006/.008") but I think documentation on this has been a bit elusive. My dealer sets to a tight .006/.008" (which probably more like a .005/007").

I use a booster plug, it improved the 'rideability' in the 3K to 5K rev range but didn't totally cure the 'surging' on a neutral throttle. It did reduce the popping on deceleration. I've run it for about 15 months but will probably try a remap this winter to see if I can improve things further.

Idle is compter controlled, so likely more of a tuning/service issue. Valve lash, throttle body clean & balance, and/or TPS reset issue.
Surging is fuel related. The 02-optimizer will help some, but that is only for low speed throttle. I have one HERE - but best is to invest in a remap HERE.
