Though I'm a committed Griso rider I have been trying a couple of other new Guzzis of late.
This weekend I've been lucky enough to blag a 2010 model (the Silver one) that's Moto Corsa's demo bike for a few days before it comes to end of demo period and gets put up for sale.
I have previously tested an ordinary Stelvio for fair distances but I'm amazed how much better the new one is.
It is a much smoother ride than the previous Stelvio (that was a 2009 standard model) and no mid-range hiccups that I have experienced before.
It's done about 900 miles so is pretty much run in and has had its first service so it's running accordingly.
I reckon I could ride it all day without any aches or pains.
Compared to the Griso, same engine, different mapping but the same eager wrist on the throttle, I get a good 10mpg (UK gallons) more than the Griso which makes me happy.
Haven't taken it off road yet though my driveway is ankle deep in gravel chippings in places and it runs over that very easily; nearly fell off a Norge on same surface so a very noticeable improvement.
Quite tempted by it.
Will need to get the missus to signoff as pillion; that's always the yes/no factor here.
Will get that test done tomorrow with luck before I give it back on Tuesday..
Any comments from those who take regular pillions?
Cheers
