I took some advice from my dealer and left my bike in the sun before attempting to pealing my warning stickers off of my '06 B11. This worked really well except I left it for too long and the sticker left an adhesive residue behind on my gas tank. Does anyone have any sure fire ways of removing this residue without also removing the paint from my tank. The only other option I see would be to use a tank protector sticker which I am hoping to stay clear of.

I like using wd-40 on a rag and keep working out the adhesive. If its real dry try spraying fender liberally with the stuff and let sit for ten minutes and try process all over and start again. Spray the wd -40 on the rag also.

Yup...best way I have found. Will take it right off.

I've had good luck using "Goo Gone." Most hardware stores will have it as well as places like WallyWorld & Kmart. It stinks of kerosene but is gentle to most surfaces. Test it on a non-visible surface first to be safe.

Thanks to all for the solutions. I used the WD40 solution as it was the only item readily available in my garage. It took all of 10 seconds and zero effort.

On an additional happy note, tomorrow I should have my ECU and my open air box and will start reassembly on my bike! :-D

Hi Brett, would be interested to hear how you get on with your fueling improvements. I am going to give the same upgrade a go this winter. Regards Laurie.
