Before I go all rambo on these stickers is there an accepted easy way to remove the factory warning stickers from the painted areas? Moto Guzzi paint seems to be a bit more "sensitive" than factory auto paint. The ones on top of the fuel tank are the ones I'm most concerned about removing. I usually just slap some Goof Off on it, rub away until all is gone and then give it a good polish.
 
Yes. I was going to say a hairdryer, and then remove residue using isopropyl alcohol. (Which is the main component of hand sanitizer so there’s plenty available right now). The tank paint is fine. It withstands petrol/gas for example (would be mad if it didn’t)
 
Go to the hardware store and get some 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner Part Number 08984. Wonderful stuff - been using for years.
 
I just took the one off my tank yesterday. I parked the bike in the sun for awhile.When it was hot I sprayed it with some WD40. Then I used a credit card to lift a corner of the sticker. I continued to apply the WD and lifted the sticker with the cc until I could get ahold of the sticker with my fingers. I continued to add WD to keep it all wet and pulled slowly on the sticker until it was off. It took only a couple of minutes or so. Be patient and go slowly. I also removed the EPA stickers on my Audace which may be a problem for the next owner at registration time, but I won't as I will most likely be gone. They were plastered on the rear fender in plain sight, tacky. I can't believe the factory put them on like that.
