Anyone modified throttle spring tension? Mine is pretty stiff for my arthritic hands. Bucky Moto (youtuber) drilled a new index hole for spring. Getting one screw out is a problem. Seems it isn't made to be removed.

V85TT has potentiometer for ride-by-wire so there is no cable. The OEM heated grip system includes a throttle handle that has softer return springs. I had the heated grips installed before taking delivery so did not understand the return spring complaints. I finally pulled the original throttle handle out of the “spare parts box” and felt how much stiffer the springs are in the version without heater. Therefore, I highly recommend the OEM heated handgrips.

You can order the heated grips from the GTM Store (see tabs above).

I purchased my '22 V85TT Adventure late March '23 and purchased the heated grips a few weeks later. I still need to install them, and it sounds like this is a sooner than later shop task.

I agree with you that the spring tension is overly strong. It bothered me in the beginning and I inquired if there was fix and I remember seeing that the heated grips were the answer. I never did anything about it an now have 30k+ miles on my 2020. If I had arthritis (it's probably coming) I would have given the heated grips a try. Let us know if it helps.
