Hi Stu! My youth memories come back when I read about a Honda CX500 '80! I believe ours (those days my girlfriend and I) first 'modern' bike was a CX500 from '79. We bought it in '84, especially for our 6,5 months travel through Germany, Austria, Slovenia, (ex)Jugoslavia, Greece, Israel and Sinaï desert/Egypt. Very reliable watercooled V-twins indeed! Great memories too! We're married in 1988 and rode a lot of different motorcycles ever since! Now also my first Moto Guzzi! Cheers!
